WELD is powered by thousands of volunteer hours every year. We need dozens of volunteers to help our organization operate as smoothly as possible. Chapters are run by steering committees primarily composed of volunteers.  WELD volunteers benefit by building new relationships, gaining exposure to executive level women, testing new leadership skills learned at our events and paying it forward.  Key volunteer areas include, but are not limited to: 

• Programming
• Membership
• Corporate Relations
• Marketing
• Finance
• Impact/Community Collaboration

Day of event volunteer opportunities are also available for many of our events.

Become a WELD Speaker

WELD has several speaking opportunities available every year during our programs and events. This is a great opportunity to speak to women from the Tulsa region who currently hold key positions within their companies as well as those women who are on the rise.

We are interested in speakers with proven expertise across a variety of topics that are specifically tailored for and relevant to the leadership development of women. Some topics include the following:

• Strategic networking skills and how to leverage networks
• Building effective teams

• Negotiation skills—basic approaches

WELD wants to have this information on hand so that as speaker opportunities become available, we have a good distribution list for sending out RFPs. When these select opportunities become available, WELD will provide specific instructions for completing an RFP.
