Your Brand. Your Statement.

“Create and Evolve Your Brand in a Competitive Marketplace”

In today’s competitive marketplace, employers look at the big picture of every candidate and seek skill sets that apply to the job itself and to the culture and integrity of the company. Your personal brand must make an imprint on a company. If your brand is stale, it may be necessary to self-evaluate and reinvent your personal brand to sustain in this economy.

Margaret Finley, Director of Corporate Relations, Eden Counseling Centers, and Co-Founder, MoveHERForward will share the following three key learning points:

Develop your Personal Brand - Regardless of your current status in life, your career, or your education, you must think, live, act, and plan your brand statement. In a recent article, Forbes states that the primary difference in today’s workplace versus only a couple of years ago is the impact of social media and how we use it to communicate our personal and professional brand. Your online reputation matters.

Your Brand in Business - To position your brand in business, start with the essential element of any business; the bottom line. The bottom line refers to any action that may increase or decrease total revenue. Every professional should have financial intelligence and understand how the company makes money, attracts customers, and operates to stay in business. When you know how a company makes money, you can see how your actions affect the bottom line and ultimately your paycheck.

Know your Fit - Know how your job fits into the big picture. It is important to understand how you impact a company and how your responsibilities are important to everyday operations. If you are simply on autopilot and you feel your heart is no longer “in it” as you perform your role, then you may need to re-evaluate if what you are doing still works for you.
